About Us

Kellwell Food Management was co-founded in 1992 by Joe Broadwell and Charles Keller.

Having years of experience in the corrections industry, Mr. Broadwell, currently President of Kellwell, saw an opportunity to bring greater efficiency and a higher level of service to the correctional food service industry. Mr. Broadwell's expertise has often been requested as a consultant for correctional facilities both here in the U.S. and internationally.

In 2012, Kellwell was joined by John Walling, current Vice-President and co-owner. Mr. Walling brings over 25 years of purchasing, sales, and operational experience and wisdom to Kellwell. Together, Joe and John have developed a successful formula to expand the services that Kellwell provides from food service to laundry services, commissary services, and a new culinary arts program for inmates re-entry into society.



Over the last 25 years Kellwell Food Management Company has serviced 22 states and over 100 national accounts; during that period scoring 100% on all 35 American Correctional Association (ACA) Audits.


Today, Kellwell Food Management proudly services multiple states. Services areas include but are not limited to: Northeast, Southeast and Midwest regions of the U.S.
