Kellwell Food Management
Joe Broadwell started Kellwell Food Management in 1992 with the vision of providing quality meals and exceptional customer service to the correctional food and commissary industry. Our team achieved recognition by providing a quality staff and inmate food service program that is cost competitive.
Our model will provide exceptional operational programming and quality meals that meet and exceed all national, regional and state accreditation standards. Kellwell provides peace of mind to the Sheriff, Jailer and Staff by allowing them to focus on the security of the facility; not worrying about the operational issues of the kitchen! Each client has direct access to the owner of the company to ensure all needs are met; it’s the Kellwell Promise because to us “Service Still Counts.”
In 2012, Kellwell was joined by John Walling, current Vice-President and co-owner. Mr. Walling brings over 25 years of purchasing, sales, and operational experience and wisdom to Kellwell. Together, Joe and John have developed a successful formula to expand the services that Kellwell provides from food service to laundry services, commissary services, and a new culinary arts program for inmates re-entry into society.
Food Service

- 9 week course schedule– Introduction to the Culinary Arts

- Fosters inmate morale and can assist with transition back into the workforce
